Background: Thyroid nodules are one of the most common clinical entities in Endocrinology practice. Fine needle aspiration (FNA) and the 2017 Bethesda System for Reporting Thyroid Cytopathology have been proved to be an effective tool to identify malignancy risk and guide surgical decision-making.
